Application

Mechanical internal cutter is designed to cut and retrieve part of pipe string during well interventions and overhaul.

Design

The cutter consists of a body, knives, knife releasing block, and anchor. 
The cutter is available in left- and right-hand configurations.
When cutting depth is reached, rotate the string to the right to actuate the cutter. While rotating the string to the right (10-18 rpm), slowly and gradually lower the string, every 1-3 mm, observing the weight indicator. 
It takes 5-10 minutes to cut a pipe. Severed part has no burrs, defects and is ready to be engaged and recovered by an overshot. 
Inclined ports in the top sub allow for knives cooling and cuttings removal.
