Application
PRK washover shoe ruptures wireline in production casing and annulus during remediation.
Design
The washover shoe is a short alloy steel tube with toothed cutter at its bottom end. The teeth are carburized. The shoe is made of high tensile carburizable steel.
The internal unit has form of an auger that packs wireline in while milling. Depending on cable size, auger is available with short and long pitch.
Based on number of tooth at the bottom, there are three modifications of the washover shoe:
- PRK2 modification — has 2 (two) coarse cutters at the bottom end.
- PRK4 modification — has 4 (four) coarse cutters at the bottom end.
- PRK3 modification — has multiple fine cutters at the bottom end.
Recommendation: please, use ShMU junk sub above PRK2 `& 3.
